Well, it's summer time here in the northern hemisphere. 
(I guess that means it's winter for our friends down under.)
Vacations are in full swing, kids are out of school, and 
parents are busy trying to find things for the kids to do!

Yesterday I spent the day doing yard work--cutting the
grass and planting flowers.  The kids' "job" was to pick up all of 
the sticks out of the yard before I mowed the grass.  They
put them in a pile down by the playground for a cookout we
planned for later in the evening.

After several hours of cutting the "hay" (we've had so
much rain that the grass was really tall) and tossing it over the
fence to the goats, it was time for something to eat.

My wife gathered all of the "stuff" for the family hotdog
roast around the campfire.  Hotdogs, buns, potato chips, and
of course, marshmallows!  I got the fire going...I tried the 
flint rock, then rubbing two sticks together, but finally
resorted to charcoal lighter fluid and matches.  Remember, 
it's the thought that counts...

Five year old David got things started by roasting the first
hotdog...so well that the stick below the hotdog ignited and
burned into, dropping the well-done hotdog into the fire!

Next!

All in all, it was a fun time.  We managed to eat more food
than the bugs did.  And the mosquitoes must have been busy 
somewhere else.

Spending quality time with the family is one of the things
people list as reasons for having their own business...
one of the freedoms of being an entrepreneur...being able
to choose to do things with the family when and where you
want to do them.

I encourage you to look around you and count your blessings.

This issue of MMOafter50 is the first to be sent using my
new list management software.  After being disabled and
delayed by third party list-servers, I decided to manage my
own list with AutoResponse Plus 3.0 software.  It has a lot 
of features and I will be incorporating them as I become 
more familiar with them.

It is a great piece of software.  I was able to install it 
myself with the help of their excellent support staff and 
with the help of Greg Hughes at 5dollarwebs.

Speaking of building your list...

A new service application has just become available recently
that is worth checking into.  It is free for now, so jump
on it before they decide to charge for it.  The new service
uses your screensaver to generate traffic to your website of 
choice.  You can use it to send traffic to an affiliate page
or to your own web site.

You earn points whenever you are connected to the net and 
your screensaver is on.  For instance, I have a DSL internet
connection which is always on.  Just by leaving my computer
turned on, the screensaver kicks in and earns me points.
These points are redeemed as "displays" on other people's
monitors that are connected to the screensaver network. 

When they see my web page and want to learn more, they
pause the screensaver, and click on my webpage.  If they
like what they see, they can subscribe to my ezine.

OH, and before I forget it.  It has a 10 level downline that
can work for you, too.  One of my friends, Mike, signed up 
under me and brought several of his friends with him.  They
are earning points for Mike, and me, too!

The nice thing is that once you set it up, you don't have to
do anything more to make it work.
